First Day
Tomorrow will be his first day. A day full of firsts. First day riding the bus alone. First day of school. First day eating in a cafeteria. First day being on his own without family for 8 hours. “Code Hero”
So often in the hospital we hear a variety of ‘codes’ called overhead. Each hospital has their own set of codes. “Code Yellow. Code Grey. Code Orange. Rapid Response Team/RRT. Code Red,” the list continues. Generally at orientation staff members are provided with a badge that will have the list of codes on them so when you hear them called on the speaker you have an idea of what is going on. The Journey
They say, “the first step is the hardest,” but is it really? Is the first step the hardest? Is the first workout the hardest? Is the first of week of school the most difficult? Have we been lead astray? Saying, “the first step is the hardest,” in general is a decent statement to help motivate someone to start moving in the “right” direction. Some of us need that first nudge to move forward… but really… is it the first step… If we step back (haha) and really look at most situations/goals/things that need done, it is never the first step that is the hardest.
